The initial theme, teacher as learner, addresses our goal of developing teachers who are committed to the continuing process of learning about many things, especially about learning to teach. The theme supports our work of preparing teachers who see learning as a lifelong process and understand that knowledge is constructed when meaningful connections are made through and among their experiences.
